Rumours abound regarding potential disturbances in the city however Police say that all is quiet.

Petrol Bombs Used In Coventry Disturbance

The Coventry Telegraph has confirmed that Petrol Bombs were used in the disturbance in Cheylesmore yesterday.

Just a quick note as I stated earlier that the reports of the use of petrol bombs was unconfirmed this is no longer the case.

The article goes on to state that a man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the attack. If this turns out to be correct then he really should have known better.

Sangat TV - Sky Channel 847

For anyone who missed it last night here is the clip from Sangat TV in which the "Crew" help police apprehend rioters in Birmingham.
Sangat TV became a trending topic on Twitter last night following its coverage of the Birmingham Riots.

The raw footage shown on Sangat TV was filmed by an intrepid camera man and his driver whilst traveling through Birmingham, West Brom and surrounding areas. It shows the the riots from a unique perspective and they broke some news, including the death of the three brothers, before major outlets.

Confusing? Yes Slightly odd? Yes but  I would highly recommend flipping onto this channel tonight should there be further troubles in Birmingham, however I hope its services will not be needed!

It may also be worth keeping an eye on this Tumblr Account:

Remains of the Burnt out van on Cecily Road.
Here is a picture of the remains of a van which was set alight by vandals in Cecily Road Cheylesmore.

It looks like the Council will be getting it removed shortly but it may already be gone (Picture taken around 8am). The Coventry Observer have asked permission to use this picture in the paper. If anyone else would like to use it or my others please let me know.

Thanks

Disturbances in Coventry

Van Ablaze in Cecily Road, Cheylesmore
A van was set alight in the Cheylesmore area of Coventry last night as minor troubles continued to flare in the city. The fire started late on Tuesday in Cecily Road and Police were quick to respond.

Some local residents allege that petrol bombs had been used to ignite the vehicle but as of yet this is still unconfirmed.

West Midlands police were quick to respond to the blaze and Chief Inspector Kerry Blakeman confirmed on Twitter that arrests had been made following an "isolated incident".
The blaze followed a day when many City Centre businesses had closed early and taken extra security measures due to fears of rioting in the city.

There were also reports of a tree being on fire in Radford and possibly damaging a Scout hut. This followed on from Mondays disturbances on Jubilee Crescent.

Publican Local - Blackburn

As I have just added the Publican Local piece for Coventry I thought it's be a good idea to add the Publican Local for Blackburn too.

Lancashire Hotspot (Blackburn Field Report):

Any, non to scathing, feedback is appreciated.

Publican Local - Coventry

Here's a link to my Publican Local Article for Coventry.

During my time doing the article in Coventry I found that there was a lot of negativity in the trade about the Wetherspoons presence and the city's management company, CV1.

Any way here's the article read it for yourself.

Shanty town under the Holte End...

I've just seen the Birmingham Mail's story on a homeless man living in a shanty town style house under the Holte End. Frankly this is shocking .

Aston Villa is a major force in British football owned by an American millionaire but why can't a football club the size of Villa afford to some some decent security.

As an occasional visitor to Villa park it cost's me more than a pretty penny to sit on the Holte yet this guy is set up with the same view from home. When I'm sat up in the stands in my beer and smoke free environment this fella is probably drinking his Gold label and living the high life. Thanks Villa!

In all seriousness this is obviously a terrible situation and hopefully the little bit of press will help him get out of his hole. I'm just not sure why the Birmingham Mail chose a picture of Stephen Ireland during his time on the bench at AVFC to illustrate it.

Smudge Magazine

As per my previous posts I'm adding my work from Smudge Magazine.

Smudge is a relatively new lifestyle magazine covering the Warwick and Leamington Spa area. They're a great little magazine and I can't recommend them enough. I aim to do more work for Smudge if time is permitting.

Well I digress. Here are two of my articles that were published in Smudge:
